Snow!

Yesterday, I was up in the mountains visiting my mums high school friend, and they got snow! Beautiful, white snow. The only shame is, no kids were outside! If it snowed in my neighbor hood, basically everyones would be outside! We would stay out till we were numb! Nowadays with all these iPods, iPhones, video games, etc, (not that I don't like iPods, they are very handy) kids don't go outside as often. When I was a kid, I would be outside for hours, I would go hiking with my grandparents, I loved the outdoors! It is a shame that some many kids have never been hiking or gone and played in a lake. I encourage you all to go outside and really take in your surroundings for at least 20 minutes. G for a nature walk, jot down notes of what you saw, leave your phones, iPods, etc at home. Thanks!

Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit (Possible Spoilers, Read with Caution)

I went to see The Hobbit two days ago, and I watched two of the three Lord of the Rings yesterday. I am obsessed! Well, I'm still udderly obsessed with Sherlock, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, all that good stuff, but Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit is different. It is a great story, great actors, great lines! I laughed, I cried, I hid under my pillow, and I shouted at the screen. That makes it a great movie. It reminded me of Harry Potter a bit. With the "Dark Lord" returning, the Ring, like a horcrux, making the bearer act strangely  Gandalf, just looking like Dumbledore, and a group of people risking their lives to protect a boy and the ring he carries. Do you think Rowling got some inspiration from Tolkien? Today, Christmas Eve Day, I am going to finish the LOTR trilogy, and maybe a Sherlock season, and few Doctor Who episodes (The new one comes on tonight at 9!) If I am to do all that, I better start now!

Holmes firing at the wall: Bored! Bored! Not much got in to the criminal classes. Good job I'm not one of them.

Sherlock: Ah, the wall had it coming.

Phil my Lion

Tonight I was out at a bowling alley and they had some arcade games, claw machines, stacker, the works. So my sister, her friends and my friend were playing the claw machine. They guy in front of us won twice, a crocodile and a lion. He gave my friend the lion and the crocodile, and she gave them to my sister and her friend. So I was playing the claw machine and I could not win the lion! It was making me SO mad! And then, of course, we had to go get dinner. I was sitting there, eating some pizza, when my sisters friends get up and run off. They come back with the lion I was trying to win! They gave him to me and I was all happy. I named him Phil. He is Amazing, Phil. That is all.

Today felt like Christmas!

Today was the last day of school before winter break! We had holiday parties, we watched movies, and we gave out gifts! I gave out the little TARDIS's, 221b doors and some other cardboard ornaments. One of my friends gave me an edible gingerbread ornament, it is SO cute! Another friend of mine gave me a pack of Doctor Who Micro Figures, I got Rory Williams! Also, I got a Webkinz from a friend, I collect them, I think I have 108-109 now! And I got cupcakes! They were delicious! I also got a few more things, I got fuzzy socks, a very nice card with chocolate in it, and hugs. Lots of hugs. I love giving people homemade gifts, it feels good to make someone smile, doesn't it? Though, I was a bit disappointed when my Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman wrapped in big red bows didn't show up (I had a dream that Cumberbatch and Freeman were at my locker waiting for me with big red bows on their heads). Well, maybe they will be waiting for me under my tree!

Plush TARDIS's and 221b Doors

For Christmas, I made some of my friends little plush TARDIS's, I made 4 of them. Then, I made 2 221b doors. Also, I made little animal plush ornaments.Just to be on the safe side, I also made some cardboard ornaments, with pictures I got of Google Images and Tumblr. I will post pictures when I can!

I need a case.

I am bored. I want to solve a case like Sherlock, a hard case that takes a few days. Though, I can't promise I would actually solve it, but it would give me something to think about. Study of Hot Sauce

I am going to be conducting a study of different types of hot sauce: A 6 month old Tabasco Brand and a Fairly new Kroger brand. I placed one drop of hot sauce on a penny (One penny for each brand) and left it on my table. I will be gathering information for two days, and will update you guys on what is happening on my website (http://scienceofassumption.webs.com/) Also, this morning I was looking at the Tabasco sauce under my microscope, and accidentally left it, on the plastic slide, all day. When I got home and wiped it off, there were scratches all down the slide, so it's pretty much unusable now. So, check my sites for updates about this study. Thanks!

Problems with my iPod, any advice?

OK, I have a first generation iPod Touch, no camera, no iOs (Is that right?). Whenever I plug in my headphones, the music either works, or if it does and you bump the headphones, the music will stop playing through your headphones, but not through the system. Also, if you bump the headphones, it will change to a completely different song, or the song playing will speed up. One more thing is if you have the headphones plugged in, but you are not listening to anything and you bump the headphones, a totally random song will play. And if you are watching YouTube ,the sound is unclear and you can't hear what anyone is saying, you have to put a lot of pressure on the headphone jack. Can anyone tell me what is going on with my iPod? Thanks.

Watson And I

A few days ago, my friend and I started texting back and forth as John Watson and Sherlock Holmes. We have only sent about 10 non roleplay texts, and around 380 roleplay texts. Here are some highlights of our conversations:

SH: I couldn’t get a word in, she was scolding me for having thumbs in the cheese drawer. I tried to tell her it was for an experiment!

JW: Sure it was, just like your study of tobacco ash.

SH: It was a perfectly logical experiment!

JW: And it has nothing to do with the fact that you have an addiction?

SH: Nicotine patch, John

JW: I still believe in going cold turkey

SH: It helps me think, thinking is important

JW: So are healthy lungs!

SH: It’s a nicotine patch! It does not go into your lungs!

JW: You and your logic! 

SH: I’m bored. Mrs Hudson is yelling at me.

JW: What for this time?

SH: I was bored. You get the picture

JW: Fine, but if we need a new wall, your paying

SH: You’re

JW: You just ruined the beauty of a text

SH: I can’t stand grammatical errors. You should know that

JW: I know that, it still annoys me

SH: Well, if it annoys you so much, stop making the mistake

JW: Fine then

SH: I’m not hungry!

JW: Now you aren’t but at 2 in the morning…

SH: At 2 in the morning I’m off duty!

JW: You’re never officially on duty! You’re the world’s only consulting detective!

SH: Which means I’m always on duty!

SH: I wish Mrs Hudson would stay out of our fridge! If she doesn’t like what’s in there then she should just stay out!

JW: Well sometimes you need proper food!

SH: What do you consider ‘proper food’?

JW: A full meal maybe? Three times a day…at certain times

SH: Maybe I like eating at 2 in the morning!

JW: Maybe I don’t like waking up at 2 in the morning!

SH: Why do you get up? I’m the one eating.

JW: You make so much noise it impossible to sleep!

SH: It’s

JW: It’s what?

SH: It’s impossible to sleep, not it impossible to sleep.

JW: Fine, it’s

SH: Thank you

JW: You are so not welcome

SH: Don’t be angry. It’s a habit, and they don’t make a patch for this one

JW: If only!

SH: This isn’t an addicting habit, it’s a subconscious one.

JW: Either way

Sherlock Rant

       I recently found the show Sherlock on BBC/Netflix. It is a modern-day twist of the original Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Ever since the first episode, Study in Pink, I have been hooked! I watched all of the episodes in less than one week! There are only 6, 3 in Series 1, 3 in Series 2, but they run for about 1 hour 30 minutes on Netflix, and probably 1 hour 45 minutes on TV (pardon me if I call TV telly, I have a habit of doing that). They are long but they are made to be more like mini movies, hence why there are only 6 episodes. But I digress, and as I was saying, I am completely obsessed with this show! It is mysterious, the main characters are gorgeous and it is British! What is better than that? Well, maybe Doctor Who but that is another story. I have gone all out with Sherlock, I have the coat, the scarf, the microscope, and soon I will have 221b on my bedroom door! Isn't that wonderful? My mum thinks i'm going "over the top", but I think that i'm just a super fan.
     Now, I have been asked, Sherlock or John? That is such a hard decision! So, my answer is, Johnlock. Yes, you read that right, Johnlock. I don't hate Adler or Hooper, I just believe that John and Sherlock were made for each other! Do you see how John looks out for Sherlock? It's adorable!
     I would write more, but I have a pounding headache and I am exhausted, so I will finish my ranting later.
